National Breast Cancer Foundation x OOFOS Project Pink 2025
March 2025 – Announcement
OOFOS, THE GLOBAL LEADER IN RECOVERY FOOTWEAR, OFFICIALLY PARTNERS WITH THE NATIONAL BREAST CANCER FOUNDATION (NBCF) IN AUSTRALIA
26th March 2025 – OOFOS, the global leader in recovery footwear, and the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF), have today announced their official partnership in Australia. From today, OOFOS will be donating 2% of all net online sales on www.oofos.com.au in support of NBCF’s vision to fund life-changing breast cancer research.
For OOFOS, this Australian charity partnership marks the expansion and further commitment to its Project Pink initiative. Project Pink is a dedicated effort to support and raise awareness of breast cancer, established in 2014 in the United States following the diagnosis — and later, the sad passing — of one of the company’s first employees, Duncan Finigan, from the disease. Over the years, Project Pink has become a truly global OOFOS initiative, supporting multiple cancer charities around the world, including the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI) in the USA, The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity in the UK, and Princess Margaret Hospital in Canada. Today, OOFOS proudly furthers its pledge by partnering with NBCF in Australia.
OOFOS recently reached a global milestone moment, surpassing US$5 million donated globally to patient care and cancer research since Project Pink’s inception. Now, by partnering with NBCF, OOFOS reinforces its global commitment to improve cancer through research and improvements in patient care.
The National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) is Australia’s leading not-for-profit organisation funding world-class breast cancer research towards their vision of Zero Deaths from breast cancer.r. As a completely community-funded organisation, NBCFs ability to end deaths from breast cancer, which is currently the most commonly diagnosed cancer among women in Australia, relies on the generosity of the Australian public and corporate partners like OOFOS.
Commenting on the partnership, Lou Panaccione, co-Founder and CEO at OOFOS, said:
“This is a cause very close to the heart of the OOFOS brand and its entire team. By partnering with the National Breast Cancer Foundation in Australia, we reinforce our commitment to supporting, fundraising, and championing breast cancer charities in their vital work. We look forward to supporting NBCF and the incredible community they serve, now and in the future, and are certain that our partnership will grow over time.”
Paul Reuss, who leads the Australian OOFOS business, added:
“Having personally lost my mother in 2018 to breast cancer, we’re honoured to be part of the Project Pink legacy here in Australia. Partnering with the National Breast Cancer Foundation allows us to support their critical breast cancer research and make a meaningful impact. At OOFOS Australia, we firmly believe that every step we take in raising funds and awareness brings us closer to achieving their vision of Zero Deaths from breast cancer.”
