If you suffer from heel pain it could be that you have Plantar Fasciitis, the medical term for a common foot condition that causes sharp pain in the heel and bottom of the foot. Sufferers report that pain is usually most severe in the morning and can occur in one or both feet.
The plantar fascia is a band of tissue that connects the heel to the toes. The causes for plantar fasciitis are not completely understood. However, an increase in exercise, particularly running and standing for a long time on hard surfaces are known to be risk factors.
OOFOS customers have reported relief from the pain associated with Plantar Fasciitis and the bone spurs that can accompany this condition. This is due to the increased impact absorption our shoes provide and the patented biomechanically engineered footbed that helps increase circulation and provides superior arch support. OOFOS shoes allow your foot to move on all planes and articulate the way nature intended. The material flexes with your foot and the surface you are walking on simultaneously, relieving pressure and cushioning your feet.
OOFOS recovery footwear is available for men and women. Browse our latest styles to find the ideal pair for you.

"Having suffered numerous bouts of plantar fasciitis in the past, due to rather a lot of high impact running, I now view my feet wearily and partly with suspicion. Although I do rotate my trainers and mix up my runs with lower impact alternatives in the gym, there's always that niggle in the back of my mind that I could be doing more to support my feet. Then, I discovered OOFOS. I instantly noticed the difference as soon as I slipped them on. Surprisingly comfortable, my feet instantly felt supported, the bed of the shoe rising up to meet my foot arches and almost snuggling against them. Literally I put them on and have now had trouble finding the willpower to take them off again. Popping on my usual slippers afterwards, the difference is astounding – it's amazing how flat other shoes feel once you have enjoyed the support of OOFOS. I am very much looking forward to wearing my pair more (especially in the run up to my next half marathon) to give my tootsies some very well deserved ‘me time'. Squidgy and comfortable, these are a winner for me!"

I suffered a foot injury whilst running one day and after 2 weeks of agonising pain, I went to the doctor to be diagnosed with Plantar Fasciitis with the advice that I can no longer have my arch unsupported. I went searching for the correct footwear and discovered the OOFOS slides.
As a young adult looking to keep fit and continue training for events, I needed to find something that accelerated my recovery time. Recovery footwear, I didn’t even know that was a thing or what it meant but now after owning a pair of OOFOS I can say that they offered me significant relief not only in my feet but in my lower back also. I never knew footwear was such a vital part of posture, comfort, recovery and pain relief.
With my Plantar Fasciitis, my biggest agony was walking up hills, so that’s where I decided to slip them on for the first time at the base of a hill and off I went… with barely any pain! I could still feel the issue in my foot but it didn’t come with the unbearable pain that I was used to having.
Now, somewhat 5 or 6 weeks later I can proudly say that I am 95% pain-free. I wear them almost everywhere I go, if the situation doesn’t call for a certain dress code you’ll be sure I’ll be there in my OOfos.
I feel that they have excellent cushioning; light and durable, firm but comfortable. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending these shoes to everyone I know, in fact, I have my mother purchasing a pair as we speak.

"Feedback from the players on the footwear so far has been unreal, we can't get them out of them!"

I struggled over a year with plantar fasciitis. I went to numerous doctors, tried cortisone shots, bought foot inserts. After many tears, bills, and pain my friend told me about OOFOS. She had accidentally discovered them at a shoe store. She convinced me to buy a pair. I was skeptical but as soon as I put on my first pair I was in HEAVEN!! Over time my feet healed. I am now a happy owner of four pairs and that is all I ever wear! I am a preschool teacher standing during the day and these shoes provide so much support. It has also helped with my back issues. Thank you for changing my life!!
